Ich glaube wir haben noch keinen eigenen Thread für unseren cutie Eric
Bin gerade auf der fuzz.com Seite über einen nette Biographie von ihm gestoßen mit interessanten Details, die ich bis dato nocht nicht kannte
Zitat:
Eric Grossman is a dynamic and talented bassist who honed his craft in the busy Los Angeles music scene of the 1980s and 90s. Personally trained by legendary bass innovator, Stanley Clarke, Eric worked hard to become a very busy recording and performing bassist. "I've recorded in just about every studio and played just about every venue in town. I paid a lot of dues, but that's what helped me to create a unique style."
Eric's original band, Iannello garnered critical acclaim, with their wicked blend of Funk and Rock. "Most bands that mixed those styles, were rockers first, who added the funk stuff. We came from the other side, so it was pretty original." "Quite a few of us went on to bigger things from that band. (Guitarist) Joel (Shearer) joined Alanis Morissette. (Drummer) Jimmy (Paxson) went on to tour with Sophie B. Hawkins, Edgar Winter and Stevie Nicks, and I joined K's Choice."
Eric joined K's Choice in 1997, and started an eight-year run that would take him to 15 different countries, playing thousands of concerts, and recording four Gold and Platinum selling records. Because of that exposure, Eric's resume was able to grow. "K's kept me incredibly busy, but I still managed to meet and play with a lot of great people."
Eric has been blessed enough to gig and sit in with such artists as, the Indigo Girls, Danny LeMelle, Jason Falkner, Debra Cox, John Popper, Anouk, and back all-star jams featuring Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, the Dixie Chicks, the Indigo Girls, and Natalie Merchant.
For the past two years, Eric has been recording and touring with gifted singer/ songwriter, Sarah Bettens.
In early '07, Eric joined up with the immensely talented Javier Mendoza, as his bassist. Javier's music melds Flamenco rhythms and plush, Spanish style instrumental arrangements. with modern Pop and rock. His charismatic presence and energy, along with his incredible live shows, make for a must see concert.
Eric's playing has been heard on Party of Five, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Crow (series pilot), Zus En Zo (Oscar nominated film by Paula Van der Oest), The Bold and the Beautiful, The "L" Word, and a national Pepsi radio spot, just to name a few.
Eric can also be heard on tracks by Hip Hop producers Fala, and DJ Beatz.
Look and listen for Eric on the road supporting Sarah Bettens's upcoming solo release in '07, and if you come to St. Louis, come see him with Javier, eclectic guitarist/ singer/ songwriter Auset, or one of the many artists he plays with when he's home.
Eric is available for touring, gigging, and recording. Eric is also available for private lessons in the St. Louis area. Please contact him here on Fuzz.
